Coastal comfort, without the fuss.
Heating, cooling and fresh air for beach cottages, Village shops and North County offices — fixed properly and explained plainly.
What the coast does to HVAC
Salt air
Outdoor coils and fins near the ocean corrode faster. Rinsing and the right placement help them last.
Damp mornings
Marine-layer mornings mean humidity. Systems that only cool can leave rooms clammy.
Open doors
Sea breezes invite open doors and windows — which the thermostat has to fight all afternoon.
Cottages, condos and hillside houses
Many older homes near the beach were built with a wall furnace and no cooling at all. Inland in La Costa and Vista, summers are hotter.
- Furnace, wall heater and heat pump repair
- Ductless heating and cooling for homes without ducts
- Humidity and fresh-air ventilation
- Coastal tune-ups with coil rinsing
Village shops, restaurants and offices
Shops and cafés that keep the door open, upstairs offices that overheat by 3pm, restaurants with busy kitchens. We keep them comfortable and running.
- Split and rooftop systems, repair and replacement
- Air curtains and entry-zone comfort
- Kitchen exhaust and make-up air
- Maintenance visits before you open

Is ClearStone a painting or stone company?
No. Color and Stone are part of our name. We do heating, ventilation and air conditioning only.
My beach cottage has no ducts. Can it have cooling?
Usually, yes. Ductless heat pumps heat and cool without ducts, with one indoor unit per room or zone.
Does salt air really damage AC units?
It can speed up corrosion on outdoor coils near the ocean. Fresh-water rinsing during tune-ups and sensible placement help.
My shop keeps the door open. What can help?
Thermostat placement and schedules first, then door habits, an air curtain or a small entry zone. See our open-door page.
Will I get a price before work starts?
Yes. We diagnose first and give you the price in writing.
